Last night I hooked up the 8030 to the round baler for the 1st time and after a bit when I got into the double rows the tractor started to act like a clutch or something was slipping.  the engine rpms stayed up but the darn thing just slowed down both the forward motion of the tractor and the PTO.  I would step on the clutch pedal and let the pto wind back up and then I'd take of and no issues for a few bales then it would do it again.  Also when I'd get into a lighter windrow and want to shift the PD up into high it would take a bit to shift up.

Any suggestion?

Thanks

Sounds like you have some leaky seals in the PD. Time to get the PD rebuilt. We had to rebuild the PD in our 8030 this year.

Don't put it off to long. The longer you wait the more damaged can be done and the more it will cost.

Look at the hole in the bottom of the bell housing and I'll bet there's an oil leak inside getting on the torque limiter.
