F, EARLY F2 UP TO 1977 -2800 -301ci, MOST F DIESEL WERE CAM DRIVEN OIL PUMPS, F2'S WERE CRANK - WE HAVE FOUND A FEW BOTH WAYS AS AN EXCEPTION IN THE 76-77 YEARS,  G DIESELS 2900 (190xt), L,M 1972-73 2900 WITH SIMMS INLINE - INDUSTIRAL WITH LARGE OIL COOLERS MARK II   L,M  STD ENG IN L2 AND M2'S WERE THE  DM EQUIPPED ROOSA 6.49 T (7010-8010 TRACTORS) AND A FEW OF THE M3/L3'S HAD THE 6.49I (7020).
Most all the blocks we have found with crank driven oil pumps were drilled for piston cooling whether THE BEARINGS WERE SLOTTED OR NOT.  One should not use piston cooling with the cam driven oil pump as there will be a very low oil pressure at idle.
