. Several weeks ago I made a post about finding overbore flat top pistons in one of my WD45 tractors. Yesterday, I pulled a piston out and found that it is not an AC piston. The markings are WMW A 1070. As I understand, this stands for White Machine Works. Does anyone know anything about these pistons such as compression, HP, etc.? Are rings still available? Thanks.

Google search shows that WMW eventually became Clevite. Not sure if or how that helps. AaronSEIA

Aside from the shape of the piston top, you should measure the piston height... meaning, distance from the top of the piston edge to the center of the wrist pin. When comparing pistons, the dome, flat, or dish is only PART of the piston's end displacement- the piston height shows the rest. It is very possible that an aftermarket flattop could exhibit same, or less compression than a factory dished piston.
