ok turbo gurus, the r62 needs a new turbo(not rebuildable) and the turbo shops all want $2500 to 3000 for one here.I have seen a lot of holsets the same on ebay I can get shipped in as low as $500 but none have the same part number.Mine is a hx40w with a 3535617 number. The closest number to mine I have found is a 3538215 ,they all look identical on ebay apart from that last number. Is there much difference or can the waste gate be adjusted to suit my application. thanks for any replies.

I'd be thinking looking at one from a similar year/similar HP/similar RPM Case/IH Cummins combine engine. You are talking Cummins, right ??

yes talking 8.3 cummins, not sure if the case/cummins are the same turbo or not.I know those engines are slightly different to the real cummins as I needed an injector line last year and the 2388 I tried to get one of at the wreckers was not like mine at all.Unfortunatly there are not many r62 wrecks to pick from and when there is they want to sell the motors complete.
