I have an AC 7040 and I have fuel running from a 1/4" black tube under my deck on the fuel pump side when tractor is running. What is that tube, where does it go to and how do I fix it?

Cut it in two where the bad spot is and splice it together with a piece of rubber hose and two hose clamps.

Thanks for the reply but it's leaking diesel fuel from the tube  end. It looks like its a fuel release tube of some kind?

I'm assuming it's fuel return to tank from the top of the injectors and the top of the injection pump. Cut an inch off of the bad end and reinstall.

Hmmm I don't see where the fuel return line to the tank from the injectors attaches? Any ideas?

Unless you've got some cobbled up plumbing, the fuel return line is at the #6 (rear) injector and goes under the cab to the top of the fuel tank.

OK thanks. I can't see the connection at the tank with the floor plate tight over top of the tank. Is it on the top side of the tank?

I guess I will have to remove the floor plate to get at the connection on the tank?

Loosen the two straps holding tank. Set a jack under tank and let it down a few inches.   MACK
