a factory one goes in the back of the governor as long as it has a slot in the governor shaft Niel

I still have the factory Distributor, but ordered the tach, cable, nipple and adapter from Steiner. My D17 never had one I take it and wanted to put one in. I was assuming if I took that large nut off the back of the distributor, there should be a space inside to slide the adapter through?

didnt know if it was that easy or not, the nut looks alot larger than the nipple that supposed to go on there. the male end of tha tnut must not be as large as it looks outside
