I have a 1961 D17 with a 262 diesel and I was wondering if anyone has or knows how hard it is to rebuild the roosa master fuel pump. The tractor runs but the fuel pump is leaking all over the place and has been for many years and now has just gotten to the point where I'm sick of loosing so much fuel. I know the seals are bad so if anyone has any idea or mabe knows where I could even get a rebuilt and send the core I would much appreciate it.

Thanks for the plug! Some of those early D17's didn't have bushings for the throttle and shut-off shafts, so they wear the housing. I ream and install the newer style steel bushings, along with my rebuild.

Whats the rough cost to rebuild and install bushings? And how do you lock the fuel pump during removal after you get the engine timed at top dead center if the earlier models had them?

bring the timing lines up together in the window, pull it off. re-assembly is same way. rough estimate is $450-550.
