Chuck, very sorry to hear about your dad. I lost my brother 2 1/2 years ago. It was very sudden also. You always think of things you would have said and done in hindsight, but that's just regret. Think of the things you DID do and say, as well as the things he did for you and said to you. It has helped make you who you are, and he is always as proud of you as you are of him.
More thoughts and prayers from GA.
I didn't do it! It was a short, fat, tall, skinny guy that looked like me!

A few years before my grandfather died his younger brother was killed in a farming accident, as I was sitting with him that afternoon I told him that he needed to be more careful because I didn't want to loose him. He looked at me and said "Loose me? Son when you loose someone you don't know where their at. If I'm not here, you"ll know where I'll be." I still miss him everyday but it helps knowing he's in heaven.Prayers for you and your family from North Carolina.

I'm Still Here

Friend, please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.

I'll never wander out of your sight-
I'm the brightest star on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach-
I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.

I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around
and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond,
The clear cool water in a quiet pond.

I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring,
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.

When you start thinking there's no one to love you,
you can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.

I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I'm the smile you see on a baby's face.
Just look for me, friend, I'm everyplace!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.  I lost my dad a few months ago, and it was awful.  But you will find strength, just as your father did when he encountered all the trials of his life.  Good luck, and may God bless you and your family.

Sorry to hear of your loss Chuck.  Mine left us on Dec 4,92 and it seems like yesterday.  Yet fond memories of him still lingers.  He was a minister of the Gospel and his sermons are still what the world needs today.  Prayers are sent from Central NC for your family and friends for your loss.
Thank God for another day. Thank Him for being alive and all my many blessings.

You only have one Dad and when he goes it is really tough.  My father almost made 91 when he died.  He had been sick a long time and we expected it and prayed for it but when it comes it is still a shock.  Pop has been gone almost 20 years now but I think of him every day.
May God's Rich Blessings be on you and yours.
Good Luck!
