    Posted: 13 Dec 2011 at 7:33pm
My dad died today in a car crash at the age of 81.   We all have been blessed with him being with us for the last seven years since his stroke, and God gave both of my daughters the opportunity to get to know their grandpa.  God decided today that he was needed more in heaven then down here, so we must understand that this is God's will, but part of my heart has broke today knowing that I won't be able to spend time with him.

No words are enough, but I am very sorry for your loss.  My Dad passed away quietly at home on Thanksgiving Day 2009 with me, Mom and Sister there, so I know how you're feeling.  Still get choked up missing him, but smile a little more every day as I think about all the fun we had with, among many other things, old tractors.  You'll always miss him, but have all your memories to cherish.  And, we'll see them again someday.

Chuck, I am so sorry to hear this bad news. My dad was gone just as fast, no time to say goodbye. I am praying for you and your family. Hang in there, it's a rough road, but you will get through. You will always treasure the time you had together, and he will always be a part of you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Glenn

Chuck,
I'm so sorry to hear this. I just lost my brother last Tuesday, so I know your pain.
I know you will miss him for a long time, but you will always remember him in a good way - with wonderful memories of your time together.
If it's any consolation, I found the book "Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back" very comforting in knowing what a great life in heaven is waiting for all of us.
My prayers are for you and your family.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Sometimes a sudden loss is such a shock, it takes some time to deal with it. Reading this reminds me of July 9,2009 when my Dad passed when I had seen him almost jogging 5 days earlier. As time goes by, remembering the times you spent together will bring more smiles than tears.

Chuck, as said before, words will not take away your pain. But knowing your father spent 81 years will you should help manage. Count your blessing at having him this long, and remember the lasting memories he made on you and with you. Live each day as he still is watching and keep making him proud daily. God Bless, Tracy Martin

I will be thinking about you and your family. I lost my Dad a few years ago and that is very hard to take, but just a few weeks ago I lost my best friend on a trip with me to Iowa to pick up a show calf for my grandaughter. Very sad time . My thoughts are surely with you.
