Is the power director unit the same on a D-14 as a D-17?

The PD clutch housing halves on a D14/D15 vs D17 are different.
Again, spend a little time and check the AGCO parts books.  You'll be glad you did.

The shims are interchangeable (long & short of course), the plates are interchangeable, the pressure plates at each end are interchangable, the brass shift collar is interchangeable, the cast input end housing is longer on the D17, the output end cast housing has a bigger spline for the D17 transmission, vs the D14/D15. Also the # of plates are different between the D14/15 and the D17 but the plates themselves are interchangabel from the D-series power directors-100 series power directors-100 series hydraulic PTO clutches.
Hope that helps

Also the 3 long shifter spacers are not interchangable as they are different length between the D14/15 and D17(longer), the center plates between the shims are interchangeable
