just picked this up. 185-d year round cab, with heat,radio, wiper. only 2500 original hours with working tach/ hour meter, newer rear firestones. govenor repair to inj. pump just done, new water pump came with the 9000 series 4btm plow. deffinetely will take some getting used to, as we have had nothing but d-series. cab is in excellent condition. anything i should watch out for on these? pete

As mentioned, stay on top of conditioner in the antifreeze/coolant. We have two 185s, one is a 73 model crop hustler, and the other a late 79 model. I am not sure AC made a better tractor in my opinion - real versatile size.

OK, maybe dumb question, what kind of conditioner are you talking about? my M2 combine had a conditioner filter on it, 185 does not so what do I need to do? thanks

Antifreeze conditioner called supplemental coolant additive. No filter, just an additive additive to antifreeze. Correct level of additive is checked with test trips. Most SCAs contain high levels of nitrate and borate to help protect motor against acidity and prevent possible engine liner failure from cavitation.
