I have no Hi Range on the Power Direct at all. Where do I start checking things?
Where can I buy the tach cable. And how much? How do I test the temperature sending unit. Are the clamps that hold down the battery deck plate and hold the grill cover available? Thanks

PD: Does the tractor even move when you put it in High Range? Tac Cable: You can find those either on retailers on here or Through AGCO ( Usually between $20-$40) Temp: Take the little wire plug end off and ground that cable somewhere on the tractor. If the needle on the gauge gets burried the sending unit in the block is bad. If the gauge doesn't do anything then gauge is bad, but you sending unit might be bad too. Latches: Grill cover ones are available, but I believe are either $20 or $30 per latch through AGCO. Not sure about the battery box lid. Edited by Austin(WI) - 09 Mar 2012 at 8:13am |

You might have to split the tractor to fix the PD. Worn disc plates could be the issue. Only fixed a couple PDs and that is what needed to be replaced.

we had a problem with both the high and low , first we checked drained and replaced the hydrofluid for it , it was low and works fine now. So check it first if you haven't already .

Check the PD control valve. Mine had a snap ring pop off so the rod was moving but not the piston. Put new snap ring on and good as new. Not sure on the others.
