Was using my 7580 to pull the haywagon today haling big round bales. Something in the "T" handle shifter let loose, and now the twisting action doesn't work any more. It still twists, but just doesn't accomplish anything; it's stuck in the 1st/reverse slot. Any one know if I should start by tearing apart the shifting console first, or take up the floor board? It was a long drive home in 1st gear! Thanks in advance, Darrel

theres a cable in the console that could have broken. Pull the side cover off of the console and you should see what happened. how far of a ride did you have back home??

Sound like the end of the cable broke, on some models they had a ball stud, that would break also, not sure which yours has, fairly simple fix, just got to get to it. It it was hard twisting or shifting, while you are there take the time to replace both cables. If the cable are old and stiff or full of dirt, you will be amazed at the difference!
