I see that it has the dual speed pto, with no shield of course, and the old style remote couplers. I also don't remember them having the serial number in that location. The hours on it????

I'll have to look my 2. I don't remember seeing a number where that is. It's stamped on top of pto housing on rt side. Some one changed the pto which could be handy depending on your use. My 83 has those couplers. My 85 has the lever couplers and it's # 3000 something.

No, the serial number is back by the PTO or if you’re lucky enough, you might have a sticker on the left frame rail that tells the serial number.

I will say, the pic of the shifters really impressed me. It shows no abuse or even little to no shifting wear. Drawbar doesn't show much wear. Cab looks to be in good, mostly original shape. The batteries even have AC decals on them, not saying they are original but odd. Newer temp/fuel gauge and better steps may indicate a later model. No front weights so the fwa may have lots of life left. Whoever owned this tractor took pretty good care of it and to me that means a lot. If beans were $15 and corn was $6.....

Sad part is the high temp for the sale sight tomorrow is in the teens. That ol gal ain't gonna want no part of starting without a lot of help. Portable generator for couple hours maybe. If someone knew some history of it, they sure have an advantage. Otherwise the buyer may be be bidding on a non running tractor. Wish the winning bidder the best. No top link and needs a little work on the side shields but over all it seems to be a decent unit.
