I see that it has the dual speed pto, with no shield of course, and the old style remote couplers. I also don't remember them having the serial number in that location. The hours on it????

I'll have to look my 2. I don't remember seeing a number where that is. It's stamped on top of pto housing on rt side. Some one changed the pto which could be handy depending on your use. My 83 has those couplers. My 85 has the lever couplers and it's # 3000 something.

No, the serial number is back by the PTO or if you’re lucky enough, you might have a sticker on the left frame rail that tells the serial number.

I will say, the pic of the shifters really impressed me. It shows no abuse or even little to no shifting wear. Drawbar doesn't show much wear. Cab looks to be in good, mostly original shape. The batteries even have AC decals on them, not saying they are original but odd. Newer temp/fuel gauge and better steps may indicate a later model. No front weights so the fwa may have lots of life left. Whoever owned this tractor took pretty good care of it and to me that means a lot. If beans were $15 and corn was $6.....

Sad part is the high temp for the sale sight tomorrow is in the teens. That ol gal ain't gonna want no part of starting without a lot of help. Portable generator for couple hours maybe. If someone knew some history of it, they sure have an advantage. Otherwise the buyer may be be bidding on a non running tractor. Wish the winning bidder the best. No top link and needs a little work on the side shields but over all it seems to be a decent unit.

The auction is a joke the way its run, you bid and it tells you that you are the high bidder, when in fact the live auction has surpassed the bid, yet still says I had the high bid

Have to be on the live auction web site due to it being an online and floor bidding event.
Also have to wait until it’s up live and keep bidding as floor bidders raise the bid.

When you bid before the “the item” is live you are only putting a “max bid” which can bid automatically up to your “max bid”.

I hope this makes sense…

Wheelers has lost all my respect. They run bids like non other and are getting caught backing up bids on land sales. 7 or 8 years ago it wasn't as blatant. I still go to sales to watch but very cautious on bidding.

Thanks. I figured it out after it was over, the confusing part was the site kept telling me in a red banner "highest bidder" when in fact I wasn't
