Did the WD ever have the "WD" emblem on the front sides?
Mine is a 1951 model and I can't remember if this was added for this year or not.

Dad's 1953 curved stick had one. It looked exactly like our WD-45 decal minus the "45".

According to Fay/Kraushars book, the WD decal came into being in June of '51. No serial number break listed.

Looking at the picture of the Front Cover of an 'Original' Operating Instructions and Parts Illustrations for WD-45: I believe the picture is actually a late model WD, has a curved shifter but pin hitch drawbar.
No WD or WD-45 decal. Original Allis WD / WD-45 Parts Catalog - Decal Set contains both WD and WD-45 decals for Rad cover. Gary
