I bought a D-14 about 15 years ago that has what I believe to be a factory 3 pt hitch. I'm pretty sure AC never made a 3pt hitch D-14 so I have to assume that someone has transplanted D-15 parts on to it. Can anyone tell me what to look for in the way of casting numbers, etc? I've attached a picture.

Thanks guys. That is what I was thinking. I knew it was factory because I've seen similar rigs on other AC stuff AND the traction booster works with it.

D14s were not offered with a factory 3 point. But I agree with the others that it is a factory 3 point from a D15 on your tractor.

Thanks DSeries,
I was pretty sure that was what it is before I asked but wanted to make sure. I think we have a consensus. I will say that if any of you have a D-14 and have the spare parts from a D-15 to make the conversion, it sure does work nice! I've got another D-14 with the factory 3 pt adapter kit that fits into the snap couple bell on it and there is no comparison between the two in ease of use. The D-15 3 pt wins hands down. Of course I can't use Snap coupler implements on this tractor but that's ok. A lot of my stuff is 3 pt anyway. |
