Guys. I have the final drive off my CA and the hand clutch pack is stuck in it. Any ideas on how to get it out. Does it take a special puller or what? This is first one I have had stuck in housing. TIA Gary

Dennis A. I know it should pull out easy but this one is stuck on axle shaft.

Could be rusted on. Might have to provoke it.
I did have one have a stick stuck in between the pack and the housing but didn't put up a very big fight. Edited by AJ - 18 Jan 2017 at 10:35pm |

Put some penetrating oil on and let sit. Tap on it with a hammer a few times and let sit. Repeat as needed.

Patience and persistence is the key. Panther Pi$$ and tapping work on some. Have got some by using long pry bars thru the windows. Have also used a large flat chisel as a "wedge" between the axle shoulder and back of the clutch. Once out clean up the outer axle with Emory Paper and "dress up" the key

Thanks guys. I have it soaking and hanging. I have a hook in clutch pack with weight of final drive on it. I tap with center punch(bar) several times a day. Hopeful this will get it loose. Thanks again. Gary
