Great price. A well running 185 with low hours is a somewhat hard find around here. Lift the front end with the loader/bucket and check for slop/wear in the front end... pivot pins/points, spindles, etc. If you can grease the front spindles and see if any grease oozes from "cracks" ... that would be a plus. And find out if the loader has been on the tractor for the entire 2900 hours. However, if it has a mechanical tach it doesn't show actual hours. So the actual hours could be somewhere between 5k & 6K.

We were lucky enough to find a pretty decent Series 3 XT with a 500 loader. Not welded up or beat up. Needed some minor stuff but only gave 4500.00.

Nice looking tractor.  The loader looks to be more faded, so it could be older.  If it really is a gear jumper, that price if really going to have to come down (around 2000 less).

If he got $7000 plus for a gear jumper, then they wanted it badly. Even if it was not a jumper, a 185 with loader would be IMHO no more than $7000 in the south.

Keep Looking!
