Some time back someone posted about an adjustment tool for the square drive eccentric for CA, D10 and D12. I searched and couldn't find a reference to the tool. I think it was availabe from a tool company but don't recall which one.

I remember the thread too but not the specifics. I just use a square drive socket and breaker bar.

The CA, D10 and D12 had 1/2 inch square, which is a little tough to find a square drive-driven as compared to other eccentrics had a hex head where a standard socket could be used.

take two 1/2" drive impact sockets and weld them together so you have a square 1/2" on both ends. By using an impact wrench there is less of a chance of twisting them off.

Thanks, AMC. I would never have thought of that.

Or you could use a 1/2" impact extension, a hammer, and a big cresent wrench. I use a good 8 pt 1/2 socket on a 1/2" drive for my CA's.
