I will be the first to say, those prices are ridiculous. Some people payed money, that they could have used to get a lot nicer tractor. Using them or just sitting them in a shed. Why give more then they are worth, just because they are at a AC collectors sale.

Thank you Doug G for the price report!!! I bid online on 4 of the 6080’s and Mr Jose Cruze and associates didn’t even have the decency to let me know I got outbid.

Exactly you could get into a Agco product for what most of the 6080’s brought. Folks will hate me for saying this but you could get into a nice 6400 Deere for what some of them brought and had a nicer tractor. Edited by victoryallis - 20 Feb 2021 at 5:53pm |

Thats probably right Steve as I HAD PPL all talking around me ; just could not believe as a few of those 6080 tractors wouldnt start after running all morning- blamed it on batterys, after all the money they will make on this - batteries would be my least expense !

I agree Doug
I want to add this auction was prebid
only on the internet because these tractors were down in the valley and they couldn’t
get good enough cell service for live internet bidding. They said that 8 o’clock this morning they cut
off bidding |

I can’t believe what stuff brought today. The first 6080 had 20,000 plus hours and still brought $22k. I’m just glad my old tractor brought $36. I still got $ in the bank and I wasn’t tempted to go just a little more

That was just crazy. I know where your tractor went. My bosses grain broker bought it. Look at these prices in another way. What about all the John Deere crap that brings way more than its worth? How everyone always brags about what Deere prices are. AC guys have always been more conservative, why can't every now and then there be a over the top sale for a change? It's just a thought. |

Id say he will - but hes all about the green stuff - Mike Z they had all the tractors running all morning , shut them off at sale time - a couple wouldnt start at time to sell them , blamed it on batteries- in my opinion , sad as batteries arent THAT expensive

I’m thinking if the family hired a more progressive auctioneer odds would have been better. Seems like Pete will feature notable sales of all colors.

Friday's results are not online anymore. They disappeared right after the sale was over. Only way you can see prices is if you had an item in your watchlist.

A low hour 6080,cab, AC loader, FWA, yeah I would have paid $25k. Heck I paid more than that for my 26hp compact tractor and attachments. If I was closer to the sale, I would have been bidding. 6000 series tractors are good ones when properly maintained. Our 2 WD 6060 has been a great tractor, a FWA 6080 model with cab and loader would be a great addition. I guess I am too partial to AC to make a wise decision. Congrats to the new owner of the low hour 6080.

Got word from tractor dealer employees nearby as to the Why prices went so nuts.
Deere is on a SIX Month wait list if you ordered a Tractor Last Month, if order now may be NEXT YEAR to get it(Production restrictions of COVID) same for NH and CIH have not heard from AGCO. Used tractors are selling at a PREMIUM as people need machines NOW to replace that which are wearing thin.
