Most is good shape but are farm tractors - not show tractors, in my opinion - if Gary owned it , it was in good mechanical condition except for the 220, looks like a nonrunner- the 6080,s will be hot items

The auction listing has 3 of D17's listed as Series 4 and 2 of them are not Series 4's.

Lot 118 and lot 119 are the incorrect listings.

Lot 121 is a Series 4.

I knew the guy pretty good and all of his stuff is in real nice condition and almost all of the tractors are original. I don't know how many tractors he had, but he had lots of orange...

So many nice tractors at that auction. As said the 6080 FWA will definitely be hot items and go for a premium price for sure. I expect most of his collection will being good money as it looks like they have been shedded and well maintained. Now, if only I could hit the lottery

I bought a 500 loader from him about 4 years ago to put on a 190. When my son and I got there and started talking AC's he insisted on showing us some of his. He drove us around to five different sheds filled with all the tractors you see on the sale bill. Every tractor we saw was shedded. He didn't know us from Adam but treated us like we'd been neighbors for years. Class act man.
I may try to go, well see.

Leon you are sure right - he liked to talk AC and treated a fella like he knew you for years, it so ironic , i just seen Bill Bockting passed away - the Seifert family owned the Allis dealership and Bill bought it in the 70,s and now the boys are doing the deals

Gary would entertain you most of the day at his farm.  I bought several hefeford bulls from him plus a New Holland haybine.   We used AC equipment on the farm so we both enjoyed talking about the same things.  Very nice person and I do miss him.

Gary and my dad have been friends for 40 years. I’m proud to say Gary was a friend of mine too. Over the years we bought and sold and traded many things. Dad was an AC mechanic and liked Ford trucks. So they were instantly friends. After I graduated college and still lived at home, There were a lot of nights Gary would call to talk to dad and he would be asleep. Most times I would end up talking tractors for an hour or more. In recent years he would just call my cell at night to talk tractors.

I can almost guarantee all the hours are correct. Gary looked for those tractors and he wasn’t afraid to pay for them. I remember a couple yers ago he called me telling me about the 500 hour 6080 he found and was going to buy. If my memory is correct he said he paid $25 or $27k for it. I think he told me he paid $22k for the 7020 but it’s supposed to be nice and was local to him. The 6080 with 3600 hours was my dads tractor and unless it goes crazy I intend to buy it back Sat**day. I know the hours are correct on it. I should have never let dad sell it. I’ll be the short bald guy bidding on it if I’ve made you feel sorry for me. Lol

Gary was a great guy and a great friend. He loved Allis and he sought nice ones.   I’d feel comfortable buying about anything there.

If you google the address, the pin is a ways northeast of the farm.  Near some grain bins are 10 AC's near the edge of a field.  Will be interesting to see what everything brings.  I see the sale isn't too far from DMillers place.  Maybe someone can stop by and see how his KW project is coming.

It's going to be a great sale to go to. I'm making the trip both days. My tractor funds pretty low after another Gleaner addition and a couple more tractors.

Buy of the day for this sale?  Lot 107 WD for $1450?  Looked really clean.  Or Lot 131 185 Allis third gear jumper for $3700?  Why did Lot 120 D17 have a high bid but the Lot Was Passed?

How did the parts sell? How did they sell them as large lots or did they break it up? Ex multiple types of weights on one pallet?

1951WDNWWI-- 120 was leased or something like that to someone else who couldn't get it to the sale.  Heard that on the audio of the sale.

I thought everything sold darn good. We'll see what tomorrow brings. If I didn't already have 2 6080s I'd be buying one tomorrow. The high hour ones are nice considering the thier hours. It's been a fun day just looking at all the orange.
The one 185 brought $11,900. The 210 was $15 something which I thought was high for condition but it did have a full set of the big suitcase weights.

Exactly you could get into a Agco product for what most of the 6080’s brought. Folks will hate me for saying this but you could get into a nice 6400 Deere for what some of them brought and had a nicer tractor.

Thats  probably right Steve as I HAD PPL all talking around me ; just could not believe as a few of those 6080  tractors wouldnt start after running all morning- blamed it on batterys, after all the money they will make on this - batteries would be my least expense !

I agree Doug

I want to add this auction was prebid only on the internet because these tractors were down in the valley and they couldn’t get good enough cell service for live internet bidding. They said that 8 o’clock this morning they cut off bidding

I can’t believe what stuff brought today. The first 6080 had 20,000 plus hours and still brought $22k. I’m just glad my old tractor brought $36. I still got $ in the bank and I wasn’t tempted to go just a little more

That was just crazy. I know where your tractor went. My bosses grain broker bought it.

Look at these prices in another way. What about all the John Deere crap that brings way more than its worth? How everyone always brags about what Deere prices are. AC guys have always been more conservative, why can't every now and then there be a over the top sale for a change? It's just a thought.

I think there were a lot of record sales today, wonder if Pete will talk about it on his "show"?

Id say he will - but hes all about the green stuff - Mike Z they had all the tractors running all morning , shut them off at sale time - a couple wouldnt start at time to sell them , blamed it on batteries- in my opinion , sad as batteries arent THAT expensive

I’m thinking if the family hired a more progressive auctioneer odds would have been better.   Seems like Pete will feature notable sales of all colors.

I cannot find Fridays results.  Would you tell how to find the results from Fridays Auction.  Thanks

Friday's results are not online anymore.  They disappeared right after the sale was over.  Only way you can see prices is if you had an item in your watchlist.

A low hour 6080,cab, AC loader, FWA, yeah I would have paid $25k. Heck I paid more than that for my 26hp compact tractor and attachments. If I was closer to the sale, I would have been bidding. 6000 series tractors are good ones when properly maintained. Our 2 WD 6060 has been a great tractor, a FWA 6080 model with cab and loader would be a great addition. I guess I am too partial to AC to make a wise decision. Congrats to the new owner of the low hour 6080.

Got word from tractor dealer employees nearby as to the Why prices went so nuts.

Deere is on a SIX Month wait list if you ordered a Tractor Last Month, if order now may be NEXT YEAR to get it(Production restrictions of COVID) same for NH and CIH have not heard from AGCO.  Used tractors are selling at a PREMIUM as people need machines NOW to replace that which are wearing thin.

Had not heard Doug, should be in the paper this week.  80a across from S&N tractor out on 100 sale was pulled back by buyer, that was slated to sell at $5200/a for trash ground.

I call bull on your theory for 2/3 the money you can buy 14 year newer Agco Allis 8775 that is more technology advanced. 1.5 years ago I was quoted the same $36,000 for a mfwd Massey with loader that had 40 hours on it and never sold was just a dealer demo. I have 3 6080’s and did bid on 4 tractors on that sale but no way were they worth the money.   Gasp but for that money you can get a 10 year newer Deere with a partial PS and way way tighter turning radius.

I totally agree that all those tractors brought great money. I wouldn't say that a 10 or 20 year newer tractor is better. All the electrics on these new ones are becoming a problem. My father in law has a 4 year old tractor that has bin in The shop more hours than a couple of his 40 year old tractors!

Yup as I said at the sale many times- these have no electronics on them- why would anyone need electronics on a farm tractor that will be in the dirt, dust etc? Makes no sence to me but thats the industy swing - electric over hydraulic operation is such a pain as there is always a pause then - bam it works- a simple manual opening valve is so much better
