My son just bought a 200 not running. Where do we look for the serial number?

Thanks, we found it. 64140 puts it at a 1974. I see in Norm Swinfield's book that the 74 and 75 were reduced cost tractors. What did AC do to reduce the costs. Any significant changes that would be significant? |

The most obvious change was the power director lever was gated as opposed to the lever that pushed down like the 190XT. There was a change in the brake mechanism. There were several changes to the 3 point lift and hydraulics also.

Quite a bit better. 50% more lift, a better power director linkage, a stronger final drive, transmission improvements and also a better cab.

Front block under radiator is hollow too, in my opinion the gated PD lever is worse than the push down- if you ever think its slipping replace all bushing and fine tune the linkage for pressure at the hyd spool
