Sunday put new hydraulic hoses on the ca and changed hydraulic oil. Old hoses were ready to fail at any time...think they may have been original! When draining the oil at least a pint of water came out and when draining the pump nothing came out at first but then some sort of gelatinous clot splooged out and it drained good.

Man, the hydraulics are super quiet and smooth operating now. Tractor shifts much better too, lol.

I took the D14 for a ride and on the way graded out a 10 ton pile of chipped asphalt.  The guys is getting another load in a week or two to put on top of this stuff.  I thought it looked okay and the guy was pleased so I figured it a good day!  Was thinking how nice it would be to have hydraulics on the SC blade.

Used the D17 to haul some wood scraps. Then took it for a ride.

Pulled the gas tank off a D15II factory 3-pt. that I picked up for parts a couple years ago. Ran it with the small temp. tank seller had rigged up so I could at least check for gear jumpingand got it cheap as "lift does not operate". Rear lift hose was blown . . . .
Had a can of carb cleaner that started to leak on the shelf last winter that was eating through the can seam so turned it upside down until I was ready to tackle the tank cleaning. Gunk in bottom of 15 tank so poured the cleaner in for a few days to loosen the worst of it and poured it out. Rinsed with gas repeatedly, air dried and hit it with 2 gallons muriatic acid for 5 minutes before adding one gallon water. Bottom held up good but as I started changing positions to get muriatic to the sides, pin holes started showing up just above and below original half seam.
Muriatic did an estimated 90% cleaning to bare metal, even on the bottom where heavy chunks of scale were noted originally. Neutralized with baking soda and fresh water run with garden hose until it ran clear. Although flash rusting started within 15 minutes, radiator shop should have no issue hot tanking it and coating it.

Dennis,
Good looking CA ready to work too! I would like to get my son into pulling tractors. He alwasy wanted a B because we had one on the farm when he was a kid. But a CA would be a nice choice too.

Oh I did get some closer to having the painting done on the WD45 project tractor. Looks Orange!

I got the lift links put together on the drill planter

I then fixed the plow by replacing 2 of the slats.

Then I mounted the cultivator on the CA.
Thanks & God Bless

I cant answer your question. Obvious its smaller bore. If you start a new thread it may get some answers? Welcome to the forum.

Folks,
FYI I have been doing assembly work on the WD45 project.

Folks,
We had talked about the Crop Max tires for my WD45, in another thread. Well this may have sealed the deal. My Grandson Nic and great grandson Rhett came to the local Tractor pull today with Nics WD. One pull, one first. 8 other tractors in his class. He said these tires hook up good!
If he would have put 45 lbs on the front it might have went a few feet more?

My view from the pull back tractor:

Nic said something like "what tires"!:)

Here is me on the D17 staged for the 5000 lb class. There were a dozen pullers I placed 8th.

Hooking to our clubs sled. I spun out in first high range. May try the long draw bar next time?

The IH 300 in this picture won first place in 5000 lb class. The Jubilee is mine and was used to groom the track

Our pull back tractor for the day:

Rhett rode in the cab with me, until he spotted some little girls that he had to take some cookies too!

Regards,
 Chris

Before work this morning, I filed the flange of my oil filter mount flat (they're all bent, aren't they?) and I continued stripping the paint off of the oil pan.

Beat on the stuck wd-45 motor!---got 2 center pistons in down position and had some water in them, don't know for how long as I just got this one.--- Former owner said it ran 4 years ago, been sitting ever since. Some of the valves are also stuck. Might end up being a parts tractor for my other 45's.

Well, lets see, over the course of the weekend;

Put new fuel hose on the 720
New valve cover gasket on the CA, (own fault)
Charge the battery and got Grandpa's 52 WD running
Took the monitor off the 185
Dismounted old tires off the new to me dual rims
Took carburetor off the D-17 and started the cleaning process
Polished the front bottom on my 3-16 plow project, 2 to go
I think that's most of it, was a great AC weekend for me in spite of the rain.

Lena, my 35 WC has been  in storage for the winter and I have had problems getting it to start with the starter. Always popped right off with the crank but was more miss than hit, trying to start it with the starter. I check the coil out a couple weeks ago and see 2.1 ohms across the primary. Hmm says 6 volt made in china on it.
Today my new Pertronics 40,000 volt 1.5 ohm coil came by way of UPS, so I had to put it on. She popped right off with the starter now. YEHAAAA!
Now to clean up the coon and sparrow $hit and maybe think about finishing the fenders for her.

Picked up the SC three bottom 14's.

Was good to have all the adjustments working to move the SC drawbar down to match the level of the tractor hitch.

Loaded I have worn out this set of tires on the car hauler and got new upgraded tires  today.

Started out to use the rough cut mower to cut part of our acreage.  The D15 has done very little work since being refurbished, and suffers a bit from short runs as it gets moved around the shop.  Thought I would take it out and do some mowing with it, get it up to operating temperature, and just see how it works.
Unfortunately, the rough cut mower had some problems, as the blades have seen too many stones, and were beat up pretty good.  Wound up doing less mowing and more fixing.  Worked OK after I used the press to straighten the blades.

I haven't done anything to mine yet. But I did pull it out of winter hibernation today.
I was shocked. I had the carb drained and the tank just about empty when I put it away for the winter.
Today I put the battery back in, turned on the gas, climbed on and I was going to pull the choke, but I accidentally pulled the start rod by mistake. It didn't even turn a full revolution and it fired up and idled!
I have new stuff that won't do that, LOL. I LOVE old technology.
