Looks like I am in need of a Turbo as the mounting flange is falling apart.
Need Exhaust Manifold and Elbow My turbo has a TRW tag on it, but I can't read the numbers that good. I would like a direct replacement so my oil lines all work. Suggestions for Farm use? A&I? Worthington? Others? Someone suggested a Garret GT35 |

I'm in the same boat as you are Charlie. I googled "is Garrett turbo made in USA" and what I read from a former employee made me check them off my list. They're not made in USA. I'm in no big hurry, so will be interested to see where this post goes.

You can replace the housing? Where mine bolts to the manifold is getting holes that I have epoxied.
Along with that I am trying to trace where I am getting oil from, it seems to be coming out of the manifold? So the turbo is leaking? The Valve cover I can't see a leak there. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I found out that Turbo was shipped on Gleaner G Combines with the 2900 series motor. Not sure how it ended up on this tractor.
I would remove the Turbo to check for leaks but I think the whole thing will fall apart when I do. Might be my fall project.

Hi I had the same leak on my 190xt I though it was the turbo leaking oil. It wasn't , it was a bad tip on a injector and was running fuel in and not spraying it and what I thought was oil was unburnt fuel .

Those turbos came on 190xt's , 3 of the 4 190xt's I have has them on them . The other has the 2 bolt return line on it. You could use either if you have a tractor salvage yard by you . You can pick up the other lines pretty cheap . Not much call for them any more .

The oil from the manifold is likely oil coming past the valve stems at low idle. This usually clears up under boost and higher temps... the oil is burnt plus there is positive pressure holding the oil back..
