I think I need a governor spring for my 190XT gas. If I adjust the high idle according to the book, the low idle is too high (won't go to the stop on the carb). If I set it so it will go to low idle, then it will only rev to 2000 rpm. Called SLI and AGCO replaced the spring assembly (2 Parts) with 3 seperate parts and they are very proud of them. They now have an auxillary spring. Anyway I need a good spring if anyone has one.

If you have to, you can drill a new hole on the governor arm up 1/2" or so (from the original hole) to reach your high idle specs. It will require reworking the throttle cable anchor bracket just a bit to allow for a straight line, but that can be done easily.

Found a new governor spring assembly. Installed it and I now have both high and low idle at the proper rpm and the governor works just as it should.
