I have recently aquired a HD6B for my farm.... has a wet clutch. Needs camshafts replaced. Not sure what caused the failure or wether or not the compete clutch should be changed. Either way I am having difficulty locating any parts. The part number is 638652. The complete clutch assembly is PN 644218. Or possibly PN 639210. The engine runs great and I am told that the rest of the machine works and was taken great care of by the previous owner. By the looks of the machine it seems that he is being honest about that. Very clean. Im hopeful that I have not just purchased the biggest paperweight I’ve ever owned!!! I have read a few posts by Gemdozer here and on other sites that he might have a wet clutch removed from a parted out machine.

Also, if anyone out there knows of other machines that would have used this particular clutch that would be helpful in my search.  Thanks in advance!

Try General Gear. I got a new clutch and pressure plate for my HD5B shipped to my door for around $250.
Looking at the past to see the future.

Yes the wet clutch. I think I have one lined up but haven’t seen it yet. If anyone knows of one please let me know. Also, the engine driven oil pump. I believe the hd6E had them and the M100 B motor grader. Mounts on the left side of the engine under the fuel injector pump.
