New to me WD

It came with the loader lift arms, mounts, hydraulic tank. I am removing those items if anyone is interested in them.

LOTS of caked on grease/oil and dust.  Doesn't look too bad.  That'll keep you out of mischief.

Good lookin straight WD,, lotsa good there stuff there,, wheel weights, good straight fenders,,, distibuter conversion,,
Getr' runnin,, ought to be good rig...

Other than the slight dent in the tank, the sheet metal is great.

AC-45 always works best on the old ac's.  for spark;

Carb shouldn't need a rebuild unless it is full of gunk. Probably come apart just fine.

Finally got to work on it a little bit monday. Picked up a new battery, new plugs, oil and filter. Unhooked the fuel line and poured some fuel in the tank. Allowed the fuel to flow in to a clear container. Not too much sediment flowed thru which made me happy. Repeated the process several times until no more sediment came thru. Of course the sediment bowl leaked, but as the cork soaked up some fuel it became less and less. Against my better judgement, I wanted to see if she would fire. After about 10 seconds of turning over she barked but failed to start. Fuel began coming out the throat of the carb. I knew then that the float was stuck and it would have to be cleaned. So that’s where I am at, carb is in the cleaner, and hopefully I can finish cleaning it tomorrow and start putting it back together. More to come...

I really hate that its outside as it was always stored under a slant roof building. Open to the sunlight but out of the rain.

I was thinking puller weight bracket too. Post driver would have been nice tool. 

The mount has a 3” pipe between the frame. I’m guessing it hinged on it. Not sure what brand it would have been. Wish I had it, the WD is already set up for it. Hydraulic tank and hose is still on it. Anyone have any idea of the brand, model number it may have been? I would like to find one.

Wow! That was easy, congrats on getting her going. That makes me want to go back and try to buy that one I found a few months ago. It's still sitting in that same patch of weeds.

Great news, Charlie my brother came by this morning to help me diagnose my WD. It will run smooth but only on partial choke. Younger eyes saw where one of the carb studs was hitting the lip of the manifold on the left side. As you may know there is not much room there. Although it appeared the carb was flush with the gasket, it wasn’t snug. After removing the carb again, an apparent backfire blew out the rear of a brand new gasket. I took my 4” grinder and widened the slot to allow a little more room. Previous owner at some point had removed the carb and put the studs in upside down. Long side up which did not allow enough clearance. Bought 2 new studs, a new gasket. New gasket was also thicker than the one I had got in a rebuild kit. Put it back together, pulled out the choke and she fired right up. Let off the choke, Smooth idle, smooth throughout the full range of throttle. Governor working as it should. Hard to believe that it was sucking that much air to cause such an issue. Very pleased at how its running now. Thanks Charlie for finding my issue. Thinner gasket from the rebuild kit caused a clearance issue due to the studs being installed upside down from the previous owner. Cheap fix.
