I have 4 rims/ spin-out type and can't seem to break the 1/2" square head bolts loose to peice 2 good sets together, any trick to loosen these?
I don't have a torch set, I tried bolt loosening spray and a 1/2" impa t gun with no luck??? |

If you can unbolt and remove the eccentric blocks one at a time, you can leave the wheel on the tractor. Depending on how rusted up things are, this may be the easiest way.

Get a handheld MAPP torch. 20 minutes and all 4 will be loose.

Well I ended up getting enough of them free to rebuild my two CA Wheels on my new spinout rims .They actually work how they are supposed to once I put them together I tested them and they worked as they should, thanks guys

I have done enough of these now that they don't intimidate me. But they almost always have to be take apart and cleaned and never seize added to the moving surfaces.

I have a WD with spin out rims can you remove the spin out cams without removing the entire wheel off the tractor?

I had to remove entire wheels and I used link that was shared title " Dennis can show you how and it worked great, hard part is freeing up small parts afterwards, ended up using entire can of PB and heated with my brother large torch that he uses to solder 4" copper...

Yes almost always easier to remove the tire (unless its loaded and too heavy) and then unbolt the brackets and gently tap the wheel center with a 10 lb sledge from 5 feet above the wheel!:) As mentioned the actual turning of the eccentric after removal may required a torch. Regards, Chris

I know the original post was for a CA (square head eccentrics) but for the WD and WD45 hex head eccentrics that are hard to loosen, I have a 3/4" drive 3/4" impact (deep) socket and this 40" - 3/4" drive breaker bar (https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200668201_200668201) to break them free. I have never had one that didn't turn. I spray a few times (over a couple days if possible) with Kroil before I try them and give them a good spray after they are off.
It has always worked for me.

First off, Dennis needs a bigger hammer LOL! I have never had to swing my 16# sledge more than twice to get a hub to pop out! Also, I try to drive the eccentric back and forth (they will move 1/8" of more with the snap ring on), with a 2# hammer, lots of PB Blaster, get them to move back and forth, then hold them on a 4x4 piece of wood with my foot and go after them with the 1/2" impact wrench.
