Parts book calls out a 10 degree front spindle P/N 70270044 ($516.00) and a 12 degree front spindle P/N 70270038 ($204.00). Is this 2 degrees the camber angle? What was AC's engineering reason for the small difference and why such a price difference between the two?

What was the standard spindle degree 10 or 12 and what was the standard tire/wheel size? How big of a tire can you go with if you have the 12 degree spindle?

Thanx

I have 11l x 15s on mine. Not sure which spindle is on it, but that is about the limit of clearance. HTH Tracy

I have 10.00x16's on my 180 but the wheel dish is reversed to change the offset.  No issue with spindle clearance.   Mike

Most 15" wide rims need to be reversed to work. Are you sure they aren't talking about the length? The tall spindles are 2" longer.
