One of the bucket cylinders has a small leak on the TS 500 loader on the D14. The rods are 1 1/2" dia but I do not find ANY numbers etc anywhere on cylinders. Where do Ya'll buy the packing kits / seal kits for the loader cylinders on the bucket,,? |

Hey Joe Have a close look at those cylinders. I took the bucket tilt cylinders off my D-15 Model 415 Loader to a 'hydraulic shop' about 3 years ago because they were leaking. Yours may be similar and have a 'small' and 'large' O ring inside. Here is another link to GrandpasTractor website. Page 29 shows the inards of the cylinder. Gary BTW I just got a new Laptop and I had to register to get on the site. Have you registered ? Morn'n Joe I am no expert on hyd. cylinders by any means. The older model single acting cylinders on Allis loaders have the Chevron Style V seals at the top. Those you can tighten the compressing nut some as the seals wear. I guess you need the O ring on the shaft of the double acting cylinders because you are pressurizing the cylinder on both sides. One side to push it out and one side to push it in. Gary |

It looks like the AC cylinder used Vs packing on the piston head and the large and small O rings on the piston guide, the part where the piston goes through at the end of the cylinder. If the inside of the cylinder is rough I use a brake cylinder hone and diesel fuel in a spray bottle to polish it. To start the V packing into the cylinder I use a ring compressor on them. Some types use a funnel style tool to get the packing into the cylinder.
