im using my neighbors batwing mower and the shaft on the wing (right side) pulled out of other shaft and i found a broken 3/8 roll pin. i got a new pin but cant find out where it was put together at, there is a spring on outside of gearbox and the two shafts slide together and im guessing the roll pin holds the shaft from sliding out ? butwhere does roll pin go ???

If you're talking about the square shaft that slides all the way through the wing gearbox, it will go through the square shaft just before the end. It should have a roll pin-washer-spring on the outside of the gearbox (side closest to the wing edge). It may be a spirol pin, I can't remember since we got rid of our b320 a few years ago. Generally this is caused by long shaft (the actual PTO shaft between the wing gear box and the center box) being rusty inside and not sliding smoothly when lowering the wings.
Here's a good picture of one: Hurst
