Well I changed the tranny filter and cleaned out the suction screen which wasn't very dirty.  I filled with fresh oil.  The old oil looked good on the dipstick, but when pouring out in the light it looked dirty.  I installed a pressure guage at the filter sending unit, and at idle it produced close to 30psi, and at high idle it produced over 60 psi.  The tractor is now functioning again.  The only issue it has is there is a hesitation for a few seconds when taking off in 5th gear, high range, low PD.  Is this normal, or do I have some upcoming PD issues??  Thanks so much for the help, Dr. Allis and MACK, along with others!

On top of the Power Director valve there is a round plug that takes an allen wrench to remove. Remove this plug and use it to procure a fitting that will fit that hole and get a pressure gauge/hose and check the pressures at full throttle and hot oil....should be 195-205 psi.....by "hot" I mean in the field for an hour or drive it down the road for an hour at top speed. If pressures are acceptable, you may simply have a PD clutch that needs to be resealed and freshened up a bit.

Could also have the torque limiter slipping when you take off in 5th.   MACK

Thanks, guys.  I will do that when I have a chance!  I had thought of the torque limiter as well.
