Hi Folks,

Looking at a D17 NF that I may purchase.  Got some pics, have a couple questions...

Pic1:

Not familiar with the highlighted sheet metal??? WaZ that??

Second pic:

Ok that cylinder thing has to do with powersteering?  The two highlighted tubes; hard to replace?

Lastly, am I missing anything any parts to make this conversion?

Thanks

Tom

I believe the steering box itself/ power steering components are interchangeable with the wide front. It's just the narrow bolster casting bolted to the bottom that's different.

Tom, do you want the power steering, the narrow front, or both? I changed my power steering last summer (everything in first pic). From my research, they're all the same box. If You take coupler #6 off from the 2nd pic along with everything below it, you can slide the yolk for a wide front on the splined shaft it comes off of.

I would take it all...I hope to get a D17 IV someday, and doubt would find a NF. So I here would have one ready to go.   So what part # is the bolster?
