earlier today i posted about finding the serial number on my allis chalmer tractor. after finding it under grease and grut and grass i still cannot get the numbers to match up on the websites serial number chart. stamped is TRACTOR # with 062364 below it. i would like to know what year and model it is. i only paid 400$ for it from my buddies gram-pa and its a hell of a steal. besides it missing the rear hitch and front plow blade thats the only think that im worried about money wise. anyone know how much all that goes for? any help would be great! thanks.

I'm gonna guess the 0 is actually a C, and you have a 1948 Model C.  The chart on this page shows the ending serial number for each model year.  Congratulations on your purchase and Welcome!

Depending on the model, the serial no can be located in various places, not to be confused with the engine serial no.(which is what I think you may have)
can you post a pic?

The numbers listed on this chart are the last serial number produced in that year.
Model 1940 1941 1942 1943 1944 1945 1946 1947 1948 1949
U 19-30 16721 17136 17469 17801 17819 18324 20773 21021 22127 23028
WC 103516 114533 123170 127641 134623 148090 152844 170173 178202 -
RC 5416 5504 - - - - - - - -
A 26895 26914 26925 - - - - - - -
B 49720 56781 61400 65501 70209 72264 73369 80555 92294 102392
C 111 12388 18781 23907 30694 36377 39617 51514 68280 80517
WD - - - - - - - - 9249 35444
G - - - - - - - - 10960 23179
Allis did not use a 0 in front of other numbers so your tractor is more than likely a
C62364 which is a 1948 C.

First Welcome to the Unofficial Allis Chalmers Web site.  If you need any other assistance let us know.  You will find loads of help here.  We all do what we can to keep the Allis Chalmers name alive.
As stated above sounds like you have a C.  However, if you can post pictures we can be of more assistance.
Good Luck!

Does it look like John(C-IL) C above? Does it have a drag link for the steering going down the out side of the tractor from steering box to pitman arm?
