Since I didn't get the brakes adjusted last week up to snuff, I decided to take the cover off of the left side which wasn't working as good. Found out I have a couple problems in there. The seal on the bull pinion shaft is leaking, so all of the brake components are gummed out with gearlube. Second, the steel balls and the springs are all missing. So the only braking that was going on was the band and the discs weren't doing anything. Can I get any of the balls and springs from any vendors on here, or do I have to go to AGCO. Also, the band pads are down to about an 1/8" on both sides. The disc pads are about 3/16". The ones that are all gummed out, can I clean them good and they should be ok, or should I replace them as they're impregnated with oil in the pads. Also, what thickness are the band brake pads when new, as they do look worn some? I am going to go this morning and pick up new seals for both sides, as one is leaking already so I might as well do both sides as it is all apart. When I get back I will post some pictures of what I have found so far.
