Have a early d17 diesel and wondering if the camshaft is the same as a WD 45 diesel looked in the agco parts book and shows they have same part number I got some from both tractors but the numbers on the camshafts do not match?

The 262 cam has flat places for rods to clear cam. 230 can be ground to work.   MACK

The can that came out of the 45 diesel has the flat spots between lobe's if that's what your talk about, so it must of been updated or changed at one time. So it should work then right. Putting the two side by side I can't tell a difference. Thanks mack

Thanks mack, just curious looking in agco books, the d19 diesel also has the same part number as d17/wd45, so they would all use the same camshaft, maybe some gear changes on the latter d19.
