governor all sloppy on series 2 gas d-15
I ordered all my stuff and am wondering how to get the bronze bushing out of the front governor cover. I figure I can drive it back in with block of wood along with the busing on tach end of things I can drive it out. but not this one thanks |

Many years ago I saw an old tech tap the bushing with thread tap - screw in a long bolt, then submerge the cap /cover into hot oil - and pull the bushing out. Don't know what model tractor it was but principle the same....

Thread the bushing like tbran mentioned. You can use slide hammer, or piece of all thread with a section of pipe or large socket.If you use the pipe or socket,slide it over the all thread, put a washer over end of all thread, start a nut on all thread and tighten it till it pulls the bushing from cover.
