Going through all the little things on this D19, I still haven't gotten any hydraulics.   So I thought I would tear into that today.   This tractor did have a front pump on it, so I figured something bad happened to the belly pump, but I wanted to see whether it could be fixed or not, so I could determine if I was gonna take this tractor and make it a full time puller, or if I could get the hydraulics all working again and keep the lift arms etc. on the back and then take it to plow days etc.
So I proceeded to take the cover off and with it came a bunch of roller pins and broken rollers.   My first thought was that I would take the pump out to see the lobes on the shaft all screwed up as well, but when I pulled the pump down, the lobes look perfect.   There is a little rust on two of them but feeling around on them with my fingers they feel just fine.
Here's the pump.  As you can see two of the rollers are gone, and the third one the pivot arm is half broke, and the fourth one is lodged in towards the pump.
Here is a picture of the lobes on the shaft in the tractor.   They all look and feel good.   There is a bit of rust on two of them, but this tractor sat for some time and who knows how long ago this pump went atomic.  And what would cause all of these parts to let loose, low fluid level?
So is it possible to find the parts I need and fix this pump or am I better off looking for another one.  And was this style pump unique to the D19's or was it the same as some of the earlier D17's.  It would be nice to get it back together so the rear lift works on it.   I know this hydraulic system is no where near as good as a front pump system but all I'm looking to do is use the rear lift and possibly a cylinder on a haybine/baler etc. so this system if working will be fine.

If it's just the cam followers, I would think it might be pretty easy to fix. It might be possible to buy a parts pump and make one out of 2. It would be interesting to hear if the pumps were the same from one model to another.I have no idea why that would come apart like that.

Doing some digging, the D19 follower assembly and the D17 follower assembly have the same part numbers on AGCO's website, 70235719.  The D14 and the D15 follower assembly also has the same part numbers.   That's good to know, now whether or not they are still available.

Chuck:

Much of the hydraulic pump is interchangeable throughout the D series, if not the whole pump.  I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't parts that are interchangeable with the WD and CA pumps as well.

You know, it is somewhat hard for me to realize that the D19 hid pump is almost the same as a WD, WD45, a CA, a D-14, and D-17. Interesting the shelf life of that low volume high pressure pump.
It that is so it should be easy to repair.
Let us know how it goes.
Good luck!

Ps: If I can fix them I KNOWyou can

I have a CA and a WD pump that I would sell. The CA pump has a crack in the Drawbar  control housing. Bob
