I bought a B with an adjustable wide front-end with the intent of using it to convert my CA from tricycle to wide. However, once I got the B home I realized I jumped on buying the B before doing my home work; the forward attachment and steering are different between the CA and the B.
This leads to obvious questions: Can the forward attachment bracket and other unique parts for a CA wide-front end be found? Is the basic geometry of an adjustable B wide front-end close enough to be fitted to a CA? Thanks for any help.

unbolt the front bolster from each tractor at the front of the motor. swap steering gears .and front ends. if you put the narrow front on the B you will have a narrow B

Maybe I am being stupid, but I thought B's only had the wisshbone wide front, not an adj. wide front. Am I mistaken?

Ok, that makes sense, I just thought that B's with a adj. wide fronts were robbed off a CA at one point or another. |

I'm not sure about this. But I think the CA narrowed all the way will still be wider than the B front end. That could essentially make the CA useless.

Unless you change the steering box below the gas tank. it will steer backwards. the gears are cut backwards. at its widest seting it will be just wide enough for a narrow setting on the CA rear. my sugestion is don't do it. you will wind up with a cobbled tractor. either find a C OR CA wide front, or keep it as a narrow front. Buy the way I have both a WF CA and NF C. I can't think of any good reason the switch one over.

They don't steer backwards but you have to leave the CA steering arm pointing upwards. I have a C done this way with a B adjustable front. It steers better than any of my B's and turns sharper. It's at a tractor show right now but I'll get pics tomorrow and post tomorrow night. AC made a proto type called the b/c it's in Norms Book.
