have one of them propane fired turkey fryer pots? is the flame adjustable on them? I think I wanna buy one to do my stews and chili on, should take less gas than the grill?

I got one but just used it to scald chickens before plucking.
Mine is adjustable kind of like a gas stove.

Mine is adjustable also.  I use it for anything that you need a big pot for.  I just wish the sand would have been higher.  I had to "re-manufacture" it.  Also if you're going to use it outside, (not in your outside kitchen) you'll need a wind shield.  Wouldn't be without it.

My king cooker is adjustable. We use it for fish frying with a shallow pan. The turkey pan is too deep. It works great for scalding chickens when plucking. I haven't done a turkey in many years.
