have one of them propane fired turkey fryer pots? is the flame adjustable on them? I think I wanna buy one to do my stews and chili on, should take less gas than the grill?

I got one but just used it to scald chickens before plucking.
Mine is adjustable kind of like a gas stove.

Mine is adjustable also.  I use it for anything that you need a big pot for.  I just wish the sand would have been higher.  I had to "re-manufacture" it.  Also if you're going to use it outside, (not in your outside kitchen) you'll need a wind shield.  Wouldn't be without it.

thanks! oh...and Tbone...you were right on some of them, they are either on full blast or off. BIL has one of them, he thought they were all like that too. that's why I was asking ya'll.

My king cooker is adjustable. We use it for fish frying with a shallow pan. The turkey pan is too deep. It works great for scalding chickens when plucking. I haven't done a turkey in many years.
