you can get a Delco without the excitation terminal, but it is better to get the 4 wire version and add the excitation wire..
Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Have 2 wires one green/black stripe, one brown, one going to battery. Was told to connect a fourth wire from battery post on alternator to open spade on alternator. This is one on bottom and right of spade on left that doesn't have a spade above it

the BIG orange wire goes to the LUG with the nut.. that is the main charge wire... I think the BROWN is the TACH wire that would be the EXTRA terminal as compared to a normal 10SI Delco... The GREEN wire goes to the dash light, that is the excitation wire, or #1 (R) on the two spade block ( shown below)... the #2 (F) is  normally jumpered to the BIG LUG to get 12 volts input ( in the photo below)...
