I have a 706-G forklift that jumps when shuttle shifting. It also creeps. I have the idle down to 600 rpms. It is hard to come into a pallet. If I use the clutch there is no feathering, machine still lurchs. Oil level good, oil looks a little milky. Using red hydraulic fluid, ATF. How can I adjust the torque converter to stop this? I would think the machine should remain stationary until engine revs up. Any tips? Thanks, Bob

I changed the oil today. Machine is better but still lurches some when shuttle shifting, better in that it will stay stationary with a lot less brake pressure.I hope it will continue to improve. I have a Hyster with a similar Alison transmission. This machine just sits there when you shift and moves when revving up the engine. Should the AC be similar? I can't figure out how water gets into that case, is this from condensation? Thanks for the tip. Hard to get an answer from a dealer. Bob

Herc-U-Lift in Mpls sold those machines - old mechanics there knew them - unsure of present group - might try their service dept for more info .
