I have a 706-G forklift that jumps when shuttle shifting. It also creeps. I  have the idle down to 600 rpms. It is hard to come into a pallet. If I use the clutch there is no feathering, machine still lurchs.
Oil level good, oil looks a little milky. Using red hydraulic fluid, ATF.
How can I adjust the torque converter to stop this? I would think the machine should remain stationary until engine revs up.
Any tips? Thanks, Bob

First thing to do is change that milky oil.  water in oil makes it grabby...

Oh, and welcome to the forum, others with more knowledge of this model will be along...Wink

I changed the oil today. Machine is better but still lurches some  when shuttle shifting, better in that it will stay stationary with a lot less brake pressure.I hope it will continue to improve.
I have a Hyster with a similar Alison transmission. This machine just sits there when you shift and moves when revving up the engine. Should the AC be similar?
I can't figure out how water gets into that case, is this from condensation?
Thanks for the tip. Hard to get an answer from a dealer.

Herc-U-Lift in Mpls sold those machines - old mechanics there knew them - unsure of present group - might try their service dept for more info .
