Hi, everybody. I have a 6080 that is leaking around the pto shaft. Is it possible to replace the seal without removing the entire pto housing? My service manual does not cover replacing just the seal, only removal and reinstall of the entire housing.

Yes you have to pull off that rear housing. Pretty heavy so use a cherry picker. The long PTO shaft that goes over the top of the ring and pinion will come with it. Make sure you engage the PTO seasonal lever on the left of the seat before pulling apart. Here are some manual pages I copied for someone else.
