on our 6080 the dipstick for the hyd/ rear-end wont fit, it looks like there should be a insert or something to make the hole smaller ,I have the correct dipstick but it is too small, I was looking on AGCO PARTS and it listed part #75127439 with the dipstick but there was no pic. or description of that part, any help would be appreciated. THANKS TOM.

In the earlier 6080's the dipstick threaded into the housing.  On some of the newer ones they welded a piece of pipe on top of the housing and the dipstick just slid in it.  Sound like you may have an early dipstick, and a later model tractor.

I have a early model tractor ser #1281 it is a 1981 model, the hole is threaded and so is the dipstick, but the hole in the housing is a lot bigger then the dipstick.

Look one up for a 6070 tractor and see what it is. I'm trying to figure out why you are changing a dipstick.........did you lose the original??

when we got the tractor this spring it didn't have a dipstick they just had a "plug" in it and I got one out of a salvage yard, from a 6080 but it wont fit.

I have one of the very last 6080 to be made and they had the small thread in dip stick. The pto housing broke and I had to buy a new one ($1,500), the new housing has a much larger threaded hole for the dip stick plus two extra holes in the left side. This housing is also interchangeable with one from a White I am thinking a 6000 series.

I think the larger threaded plug is 32 mm

I just put an expandable rubber plug in mine and use the old dip stick to check level. Be extra careful not to drop it into the pto housing.
Proud owner of one of the very last 6080 tractors, serial no. 7711, yep it is correct!
