Just had it setting there to get pins and link after I brought it home. Tried it out today just to use on some lanes we use in the off season but will be planted to corn. Pulled good deep as it would go with power and traction in second gear. The ground really bubbles up about a foot on each side of the shank. Worked better than I thought it would usually the other way around for me.

When that one bolt breaks that holds the top on don't I repeat don't replace it with a grade 8 bolt as my Dad did. Use a grade 5 it is a shear pin. Bent the heck out of the shank the next time he hit a rock.

I must have an 'original' A-C subsoiler...NO bolts or shear pin... It's a one piece 'fishhook' looking subsoiler.... good thing there's NO big rocks in the wife's garden ! have no idea what model it is.... does a GREAT job though !! Jay

How is the tractor top link attached to the tractor? Mine looks to be a home made 3pt and the top link pivots with the lift arms.I would much prefer it to be stationary like a traditional 3pt.

Believe it or not, that's the same one, I pull, with a 22 HP Kubota! A lot slower, I might add! And it only clears the ground, a coupla inches, when fully raised, but it does the job!

Mhank if you look close you can see the top link bracket above pto cover it has 3 hole choices and yes when fully raised it's only a couple inches off the ground. Thankfully no rocks here but could always be a tree root.
