What size wire do I need for the starting circuit from temp guage to switch and from switch to starter?

Temp gauge isn't critical. I would go with #18 or better because of the added strength. #14 would work to the starter solenoid, but again I'd go with #12 or even #10 because the wire is stronger.

I think you mean starter to switch. 10-12 gauge. Switch to
temp gauge. 14-16 gauge. MACK

Yup, Senelity setting in, I meant from the amp guage to the ignition, It has #8, I stayed with that. From the switch to the solenoid I went with #12. I disconnected the push button switch and ran right to the ignition switch which had the start detent in it. Works great. I would assume someone changed out the original switch. The push button looks factory with rubber cap over it. Why did they have a separate push button for the starter?
Did I screw up by not using the push button?
