My father worked at AC in Cedar Rapids before they were bought by Harnischfegerand moved from 1St Avenue to SW side of town.
I know it is a long shot, but anyone have pics?
The buildings have long since been torn down.

I just googled: Pictures of LaPlant Choate factory in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Right away a FaceBook site came up with pics and a history of what went on there. Easy to find.

I have fond memories of delivering my father his dinner on a few occasions when he had to work late. My task was to run around to the side of the office building and tap on his window so that he could let us in.

I came across some great photos on Facebook which were taken a few years ago while it was empty and awaiting demolition -
For images of the factory while still in use, it might be worth getting in touch with your local library/ archives as they're usually a good starting point when looking for historic photos. I don't know your area, but after a quick search these guys might have some material connected to A-C and LaPlant-Choate - https://www.historycenter.org/library

Back then the Main Office and Credit Union phone number was 364-1521 and Shipping Dept was 363-0708
